On January 1, 2009, we made the official switch from ecopaper to paperless: http://www.elephantjournal.com , seeing that our magazine's national distribution sell-thru rate would eventually end up alongside other conventional magazines, which sell (on avg) 3 out of 10 copies of every magazine. That's a lot of milling, shipping, reshipping, rerereshipping...only to get recycled. Waste. So we went online 100%—a short-term sacrifice, financially, which should—assuming we survive the new media transition—serve as a long term eco-responsible media solution. elephant journal's editor, Waylon Lewis, continues to host a Boulder-based talk show with resulting videos.
