Glas Apparel & Films Glas Team Riders Jimmy Herrick and Sean Petersen put on a good show in the local trials of The ASP 6 star PRIME O'Neill Cold Water Classic in Santa Cruz California this past Monday. Just getting in is hard enough but the boys got the nod and surfed into the Semi Finals before falling victim to high tide conditions thus ending their run toward the main event.
Glas Apparel & Films Glas Team Rider Sean Johnson made yet another Open Mens final The W.S.A. event held at Ponto in Carlsbad, California this past Saturday. Just recovering from a hip injury, Sean looks to be surfing strong again and should be a major threat for the remainder of the season. Good job Sean
Glas Apparel & Films As fate would have it Glas Team Riders Bobby Morris and Jimmy Herrick rocked up to The ASP 6 Star O'Neill Cold Water Classic in Tofino Canada only to find themselves paired against each other in the very 1st round. This is usually every Team managers nightmare but this time would prove to be different as Bobby won with Jimmy taking 2nd as both move on to the round of 128 on Monday. Good job boys.

Glas Team Rider Bobby Morris has been surfing strong lately and proved he is on the comeback trail by making the finals of the 6th annual Rusty-Esteem Surf Company Boost Fest held at The Pier Festival in Pismo Beach, California this past weekend. at The Marjorie Luke Theater in Santa Barbara, California on Oct. 30th
2009. Glas will be showing 4 of their highly acclaimed surf films
including Field of Vision, Postcard ...Thoroughfare,
Puddles in the Sky and their latest release The Ripple Eff...ect. There
will be prizes raffled off throughout the night from Glas, Surf
Country, Futures Fins, Jim Beam Surf Tag, Stay Covered Accessories,
Hyperflex Wetsuits, Go Pro Cameras and many more. All raffle proceeds
will be donated to The Santa Barbara Surfrider Foundation and there
will also be a special prize pack for one lucky person in the crowd for
best costume so everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween

Robbie Merrell just made the Boys final of The 10th annual Tommy Tant Memorial event in Florida this past weekend. Robbie was surfing strong and ripping all event but fell victim to a dying swell in the final and wasn't able to use his patented power hack to bring home the win. Glas rider Zach Plopper won the prestigious title of King of the Reef at Rob Machado's namesake event held Sept. 26th and 27th at Seaside Reef in Cardiff California. Proving to be a multifaceted waterman, Zach competed in 3 completely different forms of water sport to earn his title and bragging rights for the year.
Za...ch took down all comers in the hotly contested Men's short board division, and not even owning a long board he still managed to pull off a respectable 5th place showing there as well. Most challenging of all was the paddle board leg which proved to be grueling for all the competitors but yet he managed to lock down 2nd in the paddle as well. Once the smoke had cleared and all the final tally's were in, Zach found himself on top, King for a year at his beloved Seaside.

Guana Cay Bahamas local and Glas Team Rider Blake Sands is in Florida
surfing and getting ready for the upcoming Corona Pro Series event in
Puerto Rico. Blake is also set to appear in an upcoming edition of
Eastern Surf Magazine's Who da Guy article.
Glas Apparel & Films Glas rider Steven Newton followed up his gold medal week in Costa Rica at the ISA World Surfing Games by making the finals at The ASP-LQS 2 star Toes on the Noes / Rabbit Kekai Surfing Classic at Queens Beach on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Steven fought through small conditions and local favorites placing 2nd overall showing why he is one of the best surfers in the world on the big board. Great job Steven.
