Global Gardens May 2010 bring us all new worldly flavors to create in our kitchens and share with our loved ones. Look for at least 8 new items coming your way this year...and YES! We are open today, New Year's Eve, closed January 1. Best wishes to all for a tasteful, healthy and vibrant 2010!

Global Gardens Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone! I will personally be at Global Gardens' Los Olivos Destination Store from 11 to 5 tomorrow, Christmas Eve Day...and maybe close at 4 if everyone is done shopping so i can go home and be with Anita, Sunita and GiGi, the Global Gardens mascot! Here she is with some pre-Christmas toys! She is a bit spoiled having 3 moms...

Global Gardens Champagne anyone? It's only 7:30 a.m. and I'm ready! it must have something to do with owning a retail food store! Now if i only sold champagne--i guess in my situation I'd have to make it first...i'm glad we have plenty of Champagne Vinegar--i guess i'll just start tipping that...hmm...raspberry? Blood orange? Passion Fruit!

Sandra Theo, one of the best things I did in 2009 was join your club. What I most enjoyed was your fruit vinegars. My favorite was the pear tamarind which i used all summer in our salads of greens from our garden on Long Beach Island to rave reviews from all our guests. Thanks for making such unique and high quality products.

Global Gardens Pix of Daniel & me waiting for the final centrifuge process of olive oil milling to be completed. Daniel drove the "truck" 6 hours to Petaluma on last weeks harvest day AFTER a day of harvesting. Thanks darling! It was a lot of fun staying at the Metro Hotel in Petaluma and eating at the Central Cafe; I really really love Petaluma; anyone else?

Lenie Hello. I recently moved and want to update my address for membership shipments. How do I do this?

Global Gardens YES! We are open Christmas Eve from 11 to ??? i will be working the store myself--give my staff the day off. come by with some champagne please and say hello! (even champagne-less will do!) XO to all for a great 2009, challenging though it was...we would not be here without our local fans and Club customers; thanks everyone!

Global Gardens 6 more shopping days till Christmas. Freshly baked Pomegranate Agrodolce Olive Oil Pound Cakes in-store today for tasting. It feels cold enough to snow this morning!

Global Gardens Fresh Certified Organic Extra Virgin Fabulousness coming to Global Gardens from my own trees soon! Enjoy a sneak peak from milling day in Petaluma on Tuesday. Lots more photos and process to come...along with the buttery goodness that is liquid gold.

Global Gardens Harvest Day Today! 50 degrees and clear in Los Olivos--i'll take it. Have 50 young Koroneiki trees from Crete in my backyard to harvest...then to Los Alamos for the remaining 2000+. Then a drive up to Petaluma, my favorite organic stone mill. Maybe Santa will bring me my own stone mill?!

Global Gardens Yay! It's stopped raining; olive harvest tomorrow! More fresh Liquid Gold coming to Global Gardens soon. Dry off little babies so momma does not have to pay for water weight at the mill; anybody got enough time to blow dry about 2057 trees? ; )

Global Gardens If you haven't tried our new Pomegranate Agrodolce Olive Oil Pound Cake it's not too late! Sliced fresh for tasting today at Global Gardens--and not too late to order in multiples from our website. YUM. It's the best cake i've ever tasted and I sure like to have my cake and eat it too.

Soo I was playing Iron Chef with our Pantry today at home, and i came accross two of your Pomegranate Glaze and decided to use it......
Pulled Pork Loin with Pomegranate BBQ Pan Sauce
1 Pork Loin
1 Large Yellow onion
2 Jars Global Gardens Pomegranate Glaze
12 oz CocaCola
2 oz Ketchup
1 Tbs. Fresh CHopped Garlic
1 Tbs. Prepaird... Horseradish
2 Tbs BBQ Seasoning ( i used R.L. Schribers, any will do..)
Juliane onion and place at bottom of roasting pan. Place pork loin over onions and pour can of coke over it. Pour both jars of Pomegranate Glaze over porkloin and add Ketchup, Garlic and Horsradish to liquids at bottom of pan. Sprinkle BBQ seasoning over the pork. COver tightly with Plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Braise at 35o for 4 hours. Uncover and pull pork in seprate bowl. Reduce Braising liquid by half and pour over pulled pork.
Nice, Simple and quick (at least prep time! :) ) Try it out and let me know what you think! :)
