Global Gardens Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone! I will personally be at Global Gardens' Los Olivos Destination Store from 11 to 5 tomorrow, Christmas Eve Day...and maybe close at 4 if everyone is done shopping so i can go home and be with Anita, Sunita and GiGi, the Global Gardens mascot! Here she is with some pre-Christmas toys! She is a bit spoiled having 3 moms...

Global Gardens Champagne anyone? It's only 7:30 a.m. and I'm ready! it must have something to do with owning a retail food store! Now if i only sold champagne--i guess in my situation I'd have to make it first...i'm glad we have plenty of Champagne Vinegar--i guess i'll just start tipping that...hmm...raspberry? Blood orange? Passion Fruit!

Sandra

Sandra Theo, one of the best things I did in 2009 was join your club. What I most enjoyed was your fruit vinegars. My favorite was the pear tamarind which i used all summer in our salads of greens from our garden on Long Beach Island to rave reviews from all our guests. Thanks for making such unique and high quality products.

yay! thanks Sandra. i am an admitted vinegar reduction junkie myself. the pear & tamarind is dreamy used to thaw chicken breasts or tri-tip--even a pot roast--with mediterranean sea salt in a zip lock bag. i appreciate your words!

Global Gardens Pix of Daniel & me waiting for the final centrifuge process of olive oil milling to be completed. Daniel drove the "truck" 6 hours to Petaluma on last weeks harvest day AFTER a day of harvesting. Thanks darling! It was a lot of fun staying at the Metro Hotel in Petaluma and eating at the Central Cafe; I really really love Petaluma; anyone else?

Global Gardens Harvest Day Today! 50 degrees and clear in Los Olivos--i'll take it. Have 50 young Koroneiki trees from Crete in my backyard to harvest...then to Los Alamos for the remaining 2000+. Then a drive up to Petaluma, my favorite organic stone mill. Maybe Santa will bring me my own stone mill?!

Stephen Spyrou

Stephen Spyrou Soo I was playing Iron Chef with our Pantry today at home, and i came accross two of your Pomegranate Glaze and decided to use it......

Pulled Pork Loin with Pomegranate BBQ Pan Sauce

1 Pork Loin
1 Large Yellow onion
2 Jars Global Gardens Pomegranate Glaze
12 oz CocaCola
2 oz Ketchup
1 Tbs. Fresh CHopped Garlic
1 Tbs. Prepaird... Horseradish
2 Tbs BBQ Seasoning ( i used R.L. Schribers, any will do..)

Juliane onion and place at bottom of roasting pan. Place pork loin over onions and pour can of coke over it. Pour both jars of Pomegranate Glaze over porkloin and add Ketchup, Garlic and Horsradish to liquids at bottom of pan. Sprinkle BBQ seasoning over the pork. COver tightly with Plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Braise at 35o for 4 hours. Uncover and pull pork in seprate bowl. Reduce Braising liquid by half and pour over pulled pork.

Nice, Simple and quick (at least prep time! :) ) Try it out and let me know what you think! :)
