Well RSL played well and they deserved the win. But I'm just happy it isn't like the BCS. BSU my favorite college team, I live in Boise, gets overlooked just because of being in a weak conference. But I just I just have to look forward to next year when the Sounders will come back better and looking for a better showing in the playoffs.

The objection to RSL being MLS champions is the standard objection to having playoffs: a mediocre team gets on a good streak late in the season and becomes "champion" in spite of having stunk up the league for most of the season. It would be better if the playoffs were restricted to fewer teams, but the NFL-types who run MLS want "excitement" so we have the system we have, warts and all. RSL won the championship according to the rules, so congrats to them.
