Sierra Animal Wellness Center Today is a red letter day at SAWC. Two months after breaking her elbow, Dr Peggy performed her first surgery. The most difficult aspect was tying the surgical mask around her neck. She had to ask for help doing that. The rest was just like getting up on a bicycle after taking two months off.
Sierra Animal Wellness Center One of the most important issues we find in our small animal patients is related to dental problems, calculus, fractured and infected teeth, gingivitis. Sierra Animal Wellness Center A very talented client whose Rottweiler has been getting acupuncture treatments for his neck crafted a new divider for the clinic. He used two Japanese carved rama panels to make a shelf unit that fits over the cabinets next to our large exam room. Check it out the next time you are in the clinic.

Sierra Animal Wellness Center The boring version is that she tripped over a curb in front of her house at 9pm on a Sunday evening. A week later she had surgery to replace the comminuted head of her radius with a metal implant. 5 days post op she is learning to insert acupuncture needles with her left hand and weaning herself off pain meds.
