- Company Overview:
- Gorgias Press is an independent academic publisher of new titles and rare reprints in the fields of Syriac Studies, Early Christianity, Biblical Studies, ANE, Classics, Middle Eastern Studies, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Jewish Studies and more.
- Mission:
- Gorgias Press: Publishing for the sake of knowledge because no book is ever too specialized for us.
Gorgias Press was founded by its president and co-owner, George Kiraz. Holding advanced degrees in computational linguistics and Syriac, Dr. Kiraz wished to establish a Press with publishing interests similar to his own research agenda. Soon the Press began to expand to include related areas and a wider publishing profile. As the company continues to grow, however, the essential identity of being a press run for scholars by scholars has never diminished.

The EUPHRATES Imprint is a venue for intelligent, popular books on a variety of topics. These titles are presented for less academic readerships, but remain intriguing studies in fascinating topics.
The HARP of the GAZELLE Imprint introduces children to the wonderful world of antiquity, history and more.
