Gossamer Gear exists to make the lightest backpacking equipment solutions on the planet available to like-minded hikers.

Innovative: We are not traditional gear designers. Many of our designs include innovations borne of critical thinking skills gained in decades of engineering experience and thousands of miles hiked. Some of these innovations have since been picked up by other manufacturers. Many are still found nowhere else.
Ultralight: Our credo is "the greatest comfort is a light pack". As more and more attention turns to lightening pack weights, it is now common to see 3 lb. packs and 4 lb. tents touted as "ultralight". Our goal is to be "lightest in class" in the equipment we carry, and to preserve the "ultra" in "ultralight".
Affordable: Many people lightening their pack weight are replacing heavier equipment they purchased previously. Gossamer Gear strives to keep our ultralight gear affordable to minimize the bite on our customer's wallets. The affordability is relative, and is subject to the constraints of small production runs, within the United States, for specialty products in a niche market.
