Bearskin Lodge Turkeys are in the ovens in cabins all over Bearskin. Cabin 1 is temporarily strung with Christmas lights for T-Day by the Langs, who are always the first "decorators" of every winter season (one of many families whose traditions include decorating a Bearskin cabin with lights). Happy Thanksgiving to you from all of us celebrating this day at Bearskin.
Bearskin Lodge Quinn and Bob went paddling this afternoon. For the past 2 years, they have skied on the lake on Thanksgiving. Not this year!
Bearskin Lodge Yep, that was it for the ice. This morning it is gone. We start over. We might even have to take a few boats out for our Thanksgiving guests!
Bearskin Lodge We really did get October and November reversed. November has been a much nicer month. The proof? Our new ice is turning black and disappearing! 2 years ago staff was walking to work across the ice by this date. Now they'd just about have to swim.
