These are house cats, she makes clear. And though theyre not always the cuddliest felines, theyre in no way related to the much bigger Bengal tiger.

We just adopted a month ago! She sleeps between my husbands legs at night! The funny part is that he did not want her in our bed!

My female is a lapcat, on her terms only. My male sleeps close on my bed, not touching. Both keep close when I am home

Great Lakes Bengal Rescue is close to full and I am having to either turn people away or list their cat as a courtesy. That means bengals are going to shelters, turned loose, given away, or sold to people who aren't necessarily the best home for the cat...

Does "not adopting within Iowa" mean you are in real need of foster homes there, or that there's no need?

Great Lakes Bengal Rescue GREAT NEWS! Thanks to the work of Tammy Walters, our foster in OH, who submitted GLBR to the SPCS International Shelter Program, we were highlighted as Shelter of the Week http://www.spca. com/shelter/ and they also awarded us $1,000.00. At this time we are going to look into purchasing Micro-Chip supplies for our cats if we can get the logistics to work.

This is a little out of our geographical territory, but we thought it best to spread the word. The Bengal Rescue Network, our sister organization, is collecting donations for the NM Rescue through paypal...

Someone needs to tell the Vatican about you! You people should be nominated for Saint-hood!!! I will never be able to say enough good about you! And a big THANK YOU to the Savannah & Ocicat Rescue people for stepping in to help!!!

I have two cats - one of them is a Bengal and a Rescue, and he came from Great Lakes Bengal Rescue. He is a big, sweet, wonderful, love-muffin of a cat!

A note from our President, Janet Saltzman, on the status of the recent large rescue in Michigan: GLBR was contacted by Animal Control of Genesee Co., in Flint, MI on 5/19 to see if we would be willing to take the 14 rescued bengal females currently in their shelter...
