The Cleaners
Times are hard right now, especially for those who have lost jobs and homes. Weather experts forecast a hard winter, so a growing population of needy individuals and families will be looking to community non-profit clothing banks for warm coats this winter. For a fourth year Nu-Way and Foothills Cleaners are collecting... new and gently-used coats and jackets at their eleven Northern Colorado locations in Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Johnstown. Last year, The Cleaners distributed over 3,500 coats, utilizing the clothing banks in each community. The Coats for Folks Drive will run through November 30th.

Family Food Drive
March 15 – May 15, 2009
Caring people throughout our area are asking how they can supply some of the basic food needs for their neighbors who need help now. In an effort called Family Food Drive, Foothills and Nu-Way Cleaners in Larimer and Weld Counties have set up donation barrels at all ten of their ...locations to collect newly-purchased, unopened, non-perishable food items and canned goods. All donations will go to the Weld Food Bank, and to the Food Bank for Larimer County. There’s even free dry- cleaning available with a food donation and the payment for dry-cleaning of a similar garment. Please go to www.valpak.com for a coupon.
Also, cash donations can be made to these food banks throughout the year. They reduce hunger by distributing food to individuals and families, and in cooperation with more than 200 non-profit agencies that serve those in need. In 2007 the Food Banks distributed more than ten million pounds of food to hungry people, half of them children. For every one dollar donated to the food banks in Weld and Larimer Counties, they can provide a family with enough food for four meals.
Call to donate food or funds, or to volunteer on an as-need basis. In Larimer County, call 493-4477, or visit them at www.foodbanklarimer.org. In Weld County call 356-2199 or visit them at www.weldfoodbank.orgRead More
