Hi Steve, Thanks for fanning Green Penguin and congratulations on your upcoming VeriFlora audit! Does this mean we might be able to find some VeriFlora certified holiday Poinsettias on the West Coast?

Green Penguin Communications Natural Marketing Institute Survey reveals that nearly 50 percent of U.S. adults avoid brands that have practices they don't agree with. Instead, consumers want to know what companies are doing to recycle, reduce trash, minimize packaging, and reduce air pollution. As a consumer, how do you find out what businesses are doing?

I often think about Google's motto, "Don't be evil." The amazing thing is that not being evil seems to be so rare. So many products are just plain horrid in and of themselves - poorly made, unnecessary, presuming either ignorance or laziness. When did we start "needing" milk to be premixed with chocolate, or crackers to be packaged with cheese and a little spreader tool?

Would it drag you down with guilt? Let us know what you think!
