- Group B Strep Support is the UK charity dedicated to preventing life-threatening group B Strep infection in newborn babies.
GBSS was formed in 1996, with originally just 3 members and one medical adviser. Within just a few months, we had a respected team of medical advisers, comprising three experts in their fields, and a dozen members - 14 years on, there are around 500 members, including 5 Executive Committee members and the charity had an annual turnover of almost £100,000.
