New Lesson -- Twelve Days of Christmas

www.guitarforbeginners.com
I was racking my brain trying to think of a carol I haven't turned into a lesson yet and and this one popped to mind. The more I noodled away at (having listened to a dozen versions on YouTube) the more it seemed right as a lesson. There's nothing difficult about any of the parts, but stringing the...

New Lesson -- Double Stop Blues
This is an interesting one, one that sounds a lot trickier than it is.
It's mostly a series of double stops, so there are rarely more than two
fingers involved. Don't let the movie fool you, I usually finger whole
chord shapes even if I'm only using a little fragment of it. I've always foun...d it the safer way to proceed, just in case I don't
pluck the right strings. As long as I'm holding the whole chord shape
down, even if I flub it with the picking hand it won't sound awful as
I'm going to be playing another chord tone. They always sound good
together. Refer to the tab when in doubt... read more and check out the the video lesson here - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/finger-style-lessons/24728-double-stop-blues/

Practicing With A Metronome

We've had quite a few members asking questions about practicing with a metronome lately so we thought we'd dig up this lesson. The CAGED system - The Anatomy of a C Major Guitar Chord
This lesson is one of the older lessons on the site, but it's still a very popular one, so we're bumping it up again... The CAGED system is a great tool for understanding the neck of the guitar for guitarists of any level. Check out the lesson here - http://www.g...uitarforbeginners.com/forum/general-lessons/292-anatomy-c-major-guitar-chord-caged-system/

It takes quite a long time for us guitarists to see chords for what they really are: a batch of specific notes chosen from the scale. We tend to see chords as compact groupings of notes in familiar patterns but that's not really the full picture. Because chords are just a selection of notes, and not...

Guitar for Beginners and Beyond Random Chord Progression Generator *
Tekker has updated his Random Chord Progression Generator. Version 2 has more features (including the option to see chords instead of just roman numerals) and the graphics have been significantly upgraded... Check it out here - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/tekkers-lessons/23976-random-chord-progression-generator-v2/

www.guitarforbeginners.com
This chord progression generator is different from the ones that I have seen because it actually uses music theory to generate "good" sounding progressions instead of randomly picking chords from a key and putting them together, although there are settings for that as well and even for generating ch...

Hey Karl, that's 62 lessons for $80... but if you think it's too expensive, the downloadable packs are a cheaper option or just buy the single lessons... even cheaper.
