Didn't the US Supreme court a number of years ago rule that the Federal Government was prohibited from retaining said information in a data base? And didn't they also (SCOTUS) rule that in doing so, it violated at least two Constitutional Amendments (2nd and 4th)?

So... which gun (we'll open it up to rifles or shotguns as well) is that gotta-have-it gun?

What handgun is your "Holy Grail" gun? That is, which one is at the top of your gotta-have-it list? The one you most want(ed) and would sell off lots of other guns just to own it?For me it was a pre-1968 Colt National Match 1911.

Wrong question-why limit just to hand guns? I have most of the handguns I need and have only a few HANDGUNS I would like to get. I'd also like to get a couple of specific rifles (M1A, Ruger No. 1, etc) and a couple of shotguns as well as a few SPECIFIC Class III firearms.

Work is starting on a new U.N. treaty to "regulate" small arms.

"Regulate" essentially means civilians won't be allowed to own firearms.

Do you think the U.S. will ratify and sign on to such a treaty? Since the Constitution (Article VI) establishes ...the Constitution AND treaties of the U.S. as the supreme law of the land, what will happen to the Second Amendment, if such a treaty is ratified by the Senate?Read More

HCA Club Bank manager pulls a gun on the armed robber hitting up his bank... and gets fired. Bank policy: no guns. State law: not violated. The very brief story is here: http://tinyurl.com/yhsm93w

What do you think? Should he have been fired?

Source: tinyurl.com
GRIFFIN, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A former bank manager said Thursday that a life or death decision got him fired. The manager said he pulled a gun on a bank robber and fired shots at him, forcing the robber to flee. Police credited the manager's actions to the arrest of the suspect William Hunt.

Criminals are treated better than law abiding citizens. If that gunmen had killed everyone in the bank and while examining the mangers body they would have noticed the gun and the people would have said why didn't he us his gun...... The higher ups would have said, we'll it's against bank policy to have a firearm at work... The only thing the manager did wrong was not hit the suspect between the eye's.

It is a two edge sword. I agree with both. It is a hard question, and even harder to predict what will happen. I have taken a defensive gun course and while I learned a lot I also came away frustrated. Criminals have the advantage to people that just want to protect themselves and family!

All it is, is a massive take over of 1/5 of the economy and a massive take over of how you live your life-they think, if the Government pays all of your health care bills, they have every right to dictate every aspect of how you live your life. Just remember everybody, 1/3 of the US Senate and the entire House of Representatives is up for election next year...

Look at it this way... at least this temporarily keeps their noses out of bigger issues and other ways to stick it to the public.

Elephant or donkey, there are very few in Congress that truly support the Second Amendment in any way but lip service. Unless the vote is too important to their constituents.

I could expand that comment to the entire Bill of Rights, but I'll keep things somewhat on topic.

Montana is challenging the federal government's authority to regulate firearms and ammunition manufactured and sold in the state, and used exclusively in Montana. http://www.handgunclub.com/artman/publish/article_728.cfm
