Come along to the Christmas walks and carol service!
Join in the festive fun at Roche Abbey on Monday 28th December 2009. Heritage Inspired have organised three guided walks leaving from the historic churches of Maltby, Laughton and Firbeck which all meet up at the atmospheric abbey for mulled drinks, mince pies and car...ol singing before walking back again! Walkers are in for a treat as Thurcroft Welfare Brass Band will provide the music.
Walks start at:
Laughton All Saints church ~ 9:45am
Maltby St Bartholomew’s church ~ 10:00am
Firbeck St Martin’s church ~ 10:00am
The carol service at Roche Abbey starts around 11:00am.
The event is free and all refreshments are provided. Everyone is welcome – you can even join us to Roche Abbey if you don’t want to walk!
There will be a collection on the day with all proceeds donated to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
