HOSPICE OF RANDOLPH COUNTY

HOSPICE OF RANDOLPH COUNTY Asheboro, N.C. – Local business owner, Rhonda Harding lost her mother-in-law, Helen Harding, to lung cancer on August 18, 2007. Helen was a well-known jeweler in the Asheboro area. Although Helen bravely battled the disease, she was eventually referred to Hospice of Randolph County as the cancer progressed.

The Harding ...family also currently receives support through Kids Path, a division of Hospice of Randolph County that provides home health care and grief support services to children. Rhonda’s 10-year-old son, Donald, receives regular home health visits from a Kids Path nurse. The program helps manage Donald’s medical needs related to Down’s Syndrome.

In memory of her mother-in-law and in appreciation for support received from hospice, Rhonda Harding and her family wanted to do something special to give back. They decided to hold a special event at Laguna Bay to raise funds for Hospice of Randolph County’s hospice home construction.

On Saturday, November 21, the Laguna Bay will offer a “Day at the Spa” which includes a cut & shampoo, chair massage, and eyebrow waxing all for a total of only $15 (or $5 each). The spa, located at 157 Dublin Square Road in Asheboro, will provide this special deal between the hours of 9:00am – 3:00pm that day. Light refreshments and door prize drawings will also be held throughout the day. The stylists helping with the event will be: Rhonda Harding, Jeffery Baker, Lynnae Caldwell, Annieah Moser, Megan Shortridge, and Mary Stubbs.

The event is open to the public, but you will need to schedule an appointment by calling (336) 633-1596.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the hospice home construction that is currently underway on Vision Drive in Asheboro. For more information about Hospice of Randolph County or Kids Path, please visit www.hospiceofrandolph.org.

Susan

Susan thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave my dad last year. The family really appreciates everything your staff did. Without your support, we would have been lost.
