CEED Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development CEED is pleased to have signed the contract today for the expansion of our Second Chance Youth Development Program ("The Business of Life") to operate in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, beginning December 14th, 2009!!

Stephen Hankilson and Tim Burke are Seed Capital Program & CYBF clients for their business Quark Engineering & Development Inc. which has developed "TetherBerry" and have sold about 28,000 copies of its technology.
This program allows BlackBerry users to connect their wireless devices to their laptop computers, also a...llowing users to avoid "tethering fees" charged by major wireless service providers.
The Halifax company and its product are one of 15 around the province shortlisted by Innovacop for its I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition.

CEED is now offering a three day program targeting up
to ten young women ages 15-22 who have an interest in trades, particularly
carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
This program will allow participants to learn theory while getting some
hands-on experience. This program is free and covers the cost of all necessary
supplies... including work boots, safety glasses, WHMIS and food.
Registration is now open and space is limited! For more
