Interesting article fodder. I don't choose mags based on their spine but do appreciate the easy to handle saddle stitch when reading. The easier-to-shelve-and-find perfect bind is nice if I've kept one or more issues of a particular magazine that I want to go back to later. I'm a pragmatic individual so don't go by me.
