Grab your passport and travel the world as the 24th Street Park at 24th & Atlantic Avenue is transformed into an international wine tasting extravaganza! From Noon-5:00pm, sample any of the 75 different wines from around the world.
Featured countries include: USA, France, Chile, New Zeal...and, Italy, South Africa, Germany, Japan, and Argentina.
A limited number of admission tickets (which include a commemorative wine-tasting glass and unlimited tastings) will be available.

Virginia Beach becomes the Beach Music “capital” of the East Coast, hosting the most popular oldies bands for a jam-packed rockin’ and rollin’ party. All performances are at the 29th Street Stage on the beach, and are free to the public.

PANorama Caribbean Music Fest celebrates the music and culture of the Caribbean. And if it's Caribbean, it's probably rooted in the steel band! And if it's Caribbean, it has to take place outside! So, what better place than the beautiful Virginia Beach oceanfront?
Co-produced
with the Virginia Arts Festival
On Friday ...the action takes place at the Virginia Beach Convention Center with workshops for participating bands. The afternoon concludes with a mass steel band performance.
Friday evening's activities move to the Seaside Palladium at 24th Street for headliner performances and the steel drum band competition.
Saturday features the steel drum competition, where bands ranging from elementary to college to community groups from all around the country compete for ratings and awards. Between 15 and 20 bands are expected to compete.
On Sunday the top bands from the previous day’s competition perform on the 24th Street Stage. It’s the perfect was to end the festival, as talented steel pan performers “strut their stuff” for the crowd!

Cruise on down to the Virginia Beach boardwalk Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 10:00am-4:00pm, for a day of fun in the sun and the chance to see a collection of some of the hottest cars ever assembled! Whether you bring a classic car to show off, or cheer your favorite entry at the popular burnout competition, this revv...ed-up weekend is guaranteed to crank up both participants and spectators.
Over two hundred hot rods, classic cars, street machines, antiques automobiles, and even motorcycles will line the boardwalk for fun and competition at the 10th Annual Cruisin’ Virginia Beach Auto & Motorcycle Super Show, presented by Eastern Truck & Accessories. Car clubs from throughout the Southeast will display their autos and compete for trophies in various categories. Clubs expected to participate in this year’s show include Mopars, VW’s, Fords, Corvettes, and many more.Enthusiasts who wish to display their cars and have them judged may enter through one of the car clubs or participate as an “independent.” Trophies are presented by the various car clubs at the conclusion of the event on Saturday.

The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon starts at the Virginia Beach ...Convention Center, runs through the scenic Virginia Beach oceanfront and finishes on the spectacular oceanfront boardwalk. Participants will be treated to 14 stages along the 13.1-mile course, featuring 20 local bands as well as 16 local high school cheerleading squads spaced approximately every mile.
At the finish line, participants and spectators can munch on tasty treats and sip frosty beer while they lounge on the sand listening to the finish line feature bands. Later that evening, a headline act will thrill the crowd at the post-race concert on the sand at the 5th Street Beach Stage.
