Well, now, it is a time for sacrifices. I would rather children be schooled and fed than have state wide library access or access to historical sites. When things are better, we will get them back, do not fret.

Pennsylvania Heritage Society The Heritage Society has received additional grant funding from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for the Civil War Pennsylvania 150 project. The $250,000 grant will enable the project to continue planning for statewide exhibits and programming, including a major Web site slated to launch in late ...spring 2009.

Gannett Fleming, an international engineering consulting firm headquartered in Camp Hill, PA, and the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals (PAEP), are jointly sponsoring an environmental heritage intern based at The State Museum and Pennsylvania State Archives in summer 2009. This will be the third year for this innovative internship, which has been supported by PAEP since its inception. Gannett Fleming has also been a donor to PHMC’s overall Environmental Heritage Initiative.
