About KiNDSPiN DESiGN~ the process: Stefanie is a self taught wood worker that loves to paint! Through her life she has always loved creating her own artwork and has gone through fazes of working with different media. She created her business KiNDSPiN DESiGN in 1999 and... is passionate about every one of a kind piece of artwork she creates. The idea often starts as a sketch, sometimes directly onto the wood or sometimes she just starts cutting out what's on her mind. Next the cut wood gets sanded and primed. Then let the painting begin! She usually works with acrylics. Some pieces involve glass, metal, wire, collage, rocks, photographs..... Next is the "top secret coating" that adds the very high gloss shine to each piece. Because of the thick shine, people often guess that it is made with glass, clay or plastic, before ever guessing wood. Following the coating some trim work is usually done. Last, the pieces are finished by being named. Stefanie's artwork has found homes all over the United States & Germany. She currently is involved with galleries and art shows throughout New England, and is always looking for the next fun gallery to display her work. Custom orders have been her focus lately. She enjoys working on assignment with her clients and businesses.
