Haven Today Giving up rights is what Christmas is. And it begins, not with us giving up our rights, but with the Son of God giving up His. He exchanged the glory of heaven to be born into humility, poverty and weakness. What would Christmas be like if we could have the heart of Christ as we give our gifts to those we love?

Every Christmas there are the scenes with Santa asking, "Have you been a good this year?" Unfortunately even children who think they've been good have not really been good.

Haven Today God made the ordinariness of the world begin to glow with wonder on the night He gave us His Son! He broke the curse so that He could fill our lives with Joy. So that we could have something incrible to celebrate. He set the table. All we have to do is sit down and eat. God has done it all, we just have to take it in.

It's called a teddy toss, but it's more than a hockey theme. It's a way to give gifts to children who will have no gifts at Christmas. But needs go much deeper than getting the gift of a teddy bear.

Haven Today Both Jesus' words and His life were His message to us. The way He loved, and cared, and healed and taught. The way He suffered, and died and rose again. All this was God's word to us. God was saying Jesus alone makes sense of our lives. He's our logic! He became all that and so much more for us.
