Hazon The city council transportation committee of NYC passed the Bike Access bill. The bill will come to a full floor vote tomorrow and is expected to pass!

As anticipated, this morning the City Council transportation committee voted in favor of Intro 871, the Bicycle Access Bill. The tally was 9-0 with one absence, sending the bill to the full floor for the Council's stated meeting tomorrow. The bill will take effect 120 days after that vote.

Hazon Tareq Abu Hamed, the 1st full time Palestinian professor at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, will be coming to the NY Jewish environmental bike ride to teach about renewable energy!

Hazon Bring your bike for loops in the park and join NY Ride Steering Committee member John Fineberg for a Flat Fixing Workshop. John also designed the route for this year’s NY Ride so he can answer questions about the route and the hills. Bring your bike, helmet and meet John in Strawberry Fields in Central Park (West Side ...between 71st and 74th Streets). John will be wearing a Hazon bike jersey.
Learn how to fix a flat and then for for a ride all in one night!

Hazon Board Member Andy Blau is hosting a BBQ at his home in Peirmont, NY for those participating in the free ride this Sunday.
The Ride will meet at the JCC Manhattan (76th and Amsterdam) at 8:45 am. It is a 20 mile ride to Peirmont for lunch, and then 20 miles back home (there is no public transportation). There will... be an option to ride and extra 10 miles to Nyack before lunch.

Riders must wear a helmet and bring water. We suggest bringing snacks, a spare tube, a MetroCard, and cash.
