Head For The Cure
The inaugural Lawrence Head for the Cure 5k Run & Walk was Sunday, September 13.
It was the first Head for the Cure event outside the Kansas City metro area.
Thanks for your help in Defeating Brain Cancer Step by Step!

More than 3,500 runners/walkers (paid participants)...4,000 total participants with volunteers, sponsors and supporters...additional 800 personal donors...raised more than $225,000.
More importantly, approximately 70 teams...2,000 participants as part of a team, walking or running out of hope and solidarity for a lov...ed one currently enduring brain cancer, or in their memory.

Head for the K! on July 18 is sponsored by the Head for the Cure Foundation and the Dick Howser Scholarship Program. Each Head for the K! package includes a game ticket, special Head for the Cure wrist bands and headband, $5 donation to the sponsoring organizations, and access to all 610 Saturday pre-game activities an...d entertainment. WDAF-TV FOX 4 is the pleased to serve as the TV media sponsor. The first 20,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Dick Howser figurine (one of four collector set).

Head For The Cure Head for the Art a Huge Success! Thank you to all who donated art, attended the event, purchased art and/or volunteered at the 2009 Head for the Art group exhibition & auction. All proceeds from the night went to Head for the Cure Foundation, committed to Defeating Brain Cancer Step by Step.
