Because of what Christ has done by coming to earth to redeem us from our sins, we are now called from every tribe, tongue and nation to become one new nation in Christ, humbling ourselves before Him and each other, marked by our love for one another and called to be His Body on the earth!...

Thanks HOTC for the past year of blessings through the times of praising our Lord together in song and prayer. May 2010 be another awesome year of what God will do through you!

It was a very blessed evening at North Heights with HOTC on December 31st! A great way to spend the last hours of 2009 and start of 2010 by focusing on the Lord through praise and prayer.

Fans,

As you consider what gifts you’re
going to give to friends and relatives for Christmas this year, we want to
invite you to consider giving them a Heart of the City CD. Our CD’s are
normally $15.00 a piece, but this year, if you buy all 5 or any 5 of our CD’s
before Christmas, we’ll send th...em all to you for $60.00 and we’ll pay for the
postage! So just email us with your mailing address (to dadler@heartofthecity.org) and tell us which 5 CD’s
you want and mention the Christmas Special and we’ll ship them off to you with
an invoice right away. Now you can also order less than 5 if you’d like and
then you just have to pay the regular fee of $15.00 plus
shipping.

We’ve poured a ton of hours, prayers
and effort into these CD’s. They have a great track record and as gifts, they
are a great way to make a spiritual impact on those you give them to for
Christmas.

You can hear clips from all 5 CD's at our website at www.heartofthecity.org and they are also available on Itunes and most other mp3 sites.

If You Don’t Like Obama by Dan Adler We live in interesting times, to say the least. Our nation has probably never been more divided across ideological and political lines since the Civil War. Changes are happening and they’re happening fast. S...

Thoughtful, timely, insightful. Both sides have much to be ashamed of and as Christian's it is sad to see how much we have gotten into the fray and forgotten our true citizenship in Heaven! Thanks for this comment. I feel personally challenged to consider my conduct in all of this as I continue to spar with liberal friends in the faith. I'm ... See Morepassionate in my beliefs, but I need to make sure that which I passionately defend is first "biblically defensible" and secondly done in "gentleness and respect" using words that seek to build up not tear down. "To consider others as more important than myself". I'm also reminded of the wise words of one my bible teachers reminding me that "the 'I' in sIn, is the most telling letter"!

Good commentary, Dan. We need to remember whom it is that we serve and what it is we're called to do which is to glorify the Lord and make of all people disciples.

I just asked Don if I could catch a plane for the weekend, but alas...we have a 24 hour prayer vigil going on that weekend. I guess I'll just have to add you to the prayer list instead. I'll be there in spirit though. love you guys
