Thanks for your suggestion. Australia is the largest island on planet Earth with an area of about 7.7 million square kilometers and a population of over 20 million people. It is also as far away from UK as one can get. Steve does not know where Savanah is.

To just fly over there and start looking around would b...e a little optimistic, not to mention enormously expensive. Steve does not have an endless supply of money.

The idea of this campaign is to spread the video so that either Savanah herself will one day see it or someone who knows where she is will see it and tell Steve. Once he has a rough idea where Savanah is, then he can think about going to Australia to see her. But without that information, simply turning up and having a look round would be rather futile.

Thanks for your question, Cynthia. Unfortuntely, it is very easy for manipulative parents to convince young children of things that are not true. Savanah's mother very probably has told her that her dad and his family (who by the way live in the UK) do not want contact with her any more. Her mother could also be making... sure she does not have the money or the chance to visit a post office. This would be pretty easy for a parent of a 9 year old, particularly if they are a reasonably long way from the nearest one. Our campaign is to make sure that Savanah finds out that her paternal family definitely do still want contact with her.

It is not certain that she is in Australia, but that is the most likely given the information which Steve has. However, Fiona Gray has shown she has no qualms about being deceptive, so we can't be sure about it. Read More

This is event is an ONLINE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION. You do not have to actually physically turn up somewhere. You just have to spend a few minutes at your computer helping to promote the campaign online.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS EVENT?
The main aim of the online campaign is to spread Steve's video as far and wide as possible throughout the World so that Savanah herself will one day see it or someone who knows where she is will see it and inform Steve of her whereabouts. It is very simple. The more people see the video, the more likely it is that one of those people will be Savanah or someone who knows where she is.

If you have been with the campaign for some time, you will probably have already done your best to spread the video and recruit friends to the campaign. Our sincere thanks for that. However, there are a few new ideas that you may not have tried if you follow the above link.

A FEW CLICKS REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
If you have been a member of our Facebook Campaign Group for some time, you may well have taken part in the first Find Savanah Friday. The event was a great success, with about 3,500 views of the website on that day and a permanent increase in the number of daily visitors, with on average about 300 views per day. Since that event, the Facebook Group has more or less doubled in size.

In fact, the Facebook Group got so large that we had to ask Facebook to convert it to a Facebook Page. This was because Facebook impose certain restrictions on Groups so that Group Administrators cannot send messages to members or invite them to events such as this one when they get to a certain size. We do not want the campaign to lose momentum. This event is to encourage all those new members who joined since the last Find Savanah Friday to do what they can to make sure we the campaign keeps on growing.

EVERY NEW PERSON WHO WATCHES AND PASSES ON THE VIDEO INCREASES THE CHANCES OF SAVANAH RECEIVING HER FATHER'S MESSAGE OF LOVE.

To just turn up there and start looking would be a little optimistic. The idea of the campaign is to spread the video so that someone who knows where Savanah is (or roughly where s...he is) can tell Steve. Once he has that information, he can think about going over to see her.

Without it, it would be a pretty hopeless endeavour.
