Help Keep The Aliquippa San Rocco Festival In Aliquippa! I just read in the Beaver County Times, That the former Aliquippa Hospital has around 30 acres around it.Charles Betters wants to donate 10 acres to Beaver County so that leaves around 20 acres remaining. With a large parking lot and electricity available on site. I really think the San Rocco committee should be talking to Charles Betters. What do you think?

Dina Dinunno-Trello

Dina Dinunno-Trello Well having grandparents from Aliquippa and living in Hopewell i can only think of one place to hold san rocco and that would be Aliquippa! Shared many great memories in quip & the san rocco festival! I am sure the people who work very hard all year round know how special it is to hold this festival in Aliquippa! They ...know its a quip thing and wound'nt want to take this special event from the people of aliquippa! Right? So I hope with much thinking and planning we can keep this much loved tradition in Aliquippa where it belongs! Because we al need to remember this is about tradition and the love for the itailian heratage! We need to remember that!

Elaine Costanza

Elaine Costanza I have never been on Facebook & have no interest in it; however, this topic has prompted me to join. I have been a member of the San Rocco Cultural Committee for over twenty years - presently the recording secretary. I have attended every meeting this year and just don't know where everyone is getting their "facts". ... While location has been discussed, no motion was made nor vote taken to move the Festa to Hopewell Park. I invite all those who are so concerned with perpetuating this tradition to attend meetings. I will gladly open the minutes to show anyone the REAL facts.

Why not post all your meeting minutes on your website? If what you saying is true then posting your meeting minutes on your website would be the easiest way to avoid these pages from being created. There is no current news or updates on Sanrocco.org website. But myself and Michael Nardick do not even know each other nor do I know any of the same ... See Morepeople that he knows, yet we hear the exact same thing. Why is that? And I also want to know why I am hearing the same information from Aliquippa and Hopewell city workers that this was the was last year of the San Rocco Festa in Aliquippa and that Aliquippa has other plans for Lefty Cepull. I have been hearing all of this information repeatedly and strong for the past month and half. If all the information is true or not the real reason for me creating this page and for having 1,133 fans supporting the cause is to get the message across to the committee that this Festa needs to stay where it belongs in Aliquippa.

Christina Tolfa

Christina Tolfa Hey guys, Im not sure if many of you were there at 6 on friday at the beginning of the festa and were able to hear our opening statement. But we need the public's help. If anyone knows of any land ANYWHERE (including quip if possible) that can be purchased for the festa site and a permanent structure for the committee ...to host events. The festa is growing and expanding and has unfortunately out grown the current venue which is "naked" (everything needs to be brought there and set up). I myself was the youngest member of the committee setting up for the festa and it is not an easy task, and everyone else that does set up is aging and it's becoming harder for us. So basically if anyone could help or has any ideas or solutions let us know! and remember we need help and younger committee members!

Michele Delon Richardson

Michele Delon Richardson although it is terrible that San Rocco is being moved again. But it understandable why they want to get it out of that area. We can look at it like this...yes they are moving to Hopewell Park, But Hopewell Park is still in Aliquippa, it has an Aliquippa address. So technically San Rocco is still in Aliquippa. They should also move Lefty Cepyl Field to a safer place.

Darlene Coulter Davis I think it sucks that they are moving a Aliquippa fest to a small park with only one way in and one way out you have to have a way to get to the stupid bus that will take you down the hill. What about the seniors who live in plan 12 who like to listen to the music and see the people do they care about them nooooooooo.... Just keep moving things out hopeing Aliquippa will just go away.. We will not

Matthew Mottes I urge everyone not to worry about San Rocco in Aliquippa next year. We are already beginning to organize a separate festa for next year where it belongs. We just need to check the legalities of the matter.
