Just watched hard-hitting 2nd part of 'Can Gerry Robinson Fix Dementia Care Homes'. It's made me feel both sad & angry: http://bit.ly/8qOcyX
I don't have a relative with dementia (yet!) but I'd like to know what I can do to improve things for people in these places. The norm of staring vacantly into place is just not ...good enough. I'd be interested in changing policy, campaigning, volunteering and any other suggestions that people might have. Anyone got any links/resources I could look at?

As part of our award-winning Big Knit fundraising campaign in association with innocent drinks, we have reformed the choir who originally sang ‘There’s No One Quite Like Grandma’ almost 30 years ago in a bid for Christmas number one!

Hello Everyone,
We made a programme for Age Concern, Help the Aged in partnership with Age Sector Platform as a support for older people during the official consultation on the proposed powers and duties for the Older People’s Commissioner in Northern Ireland. It highlights their ‘we agree’ campaign. We'd like to fla...g this up as an aid during the consultation because it was expensive for us to make and a lot of good people volunteered their services ..... it seems a shame that it is not being promoted online by organisations supporting older people in Northern Ireland.

There are other programmes which you might enjoy at this link also. Thanks for the opportunity to use this forum.
