Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook I recently got a copy of Fantasy Craft from Crafty Games. Very nice. The rules make it fairly easy, from the looks of it, to customize the game to nearly any type of fantasy setting. In fact, the writers specifically mentioned that one could play in Narnia with it, so that alone tells me something. Fantasy Craft is loo...king very good to me as a second version for Hereos of Oz.

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook Other systems I'm considering for an alternate game are Fantasycraft, Savage Worlds, Hero System (Real HEROES of Oz), The Shadow of Yesterday, PDQ (Zorcerer of Zo, Truth and Justice), D6 System and Ubiquity (Hollow Earth Expedition). Whatever it takes to put Oz into the hands of more gamers.

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook I'm playing around with Fate RPG rules for a future version of Hereos of Oz. Don't worry, the version I've been working so hard on (stop it...) is still coming out, but I've been toying with the idea of other versions with other systems. Ever since I won a physical copy of Spirit of the Century I've become enamored of ...Fate. I like how the Aspects work, which is what I was going for with my original Facets system.

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook What if Boq had decided to go to the Emerald City with Dorothy? Why not explore that?

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook Another title I considered was "World of Oz" and, while I liked the title, it still didn't seem quite right to me. then I found out about a theme park with that name. Fascinating. Also, "World of..." was used by West End Games for their series of Masterbook games.

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook Do you think book characters ever do things outside the author's writing? I think so, and a part of the game I'm excited about is a minigame to be included in the back of the core book which lets you play the game with no Historian! Just get your friends together, get your fudge dice and some index cards, scratch paper... and a seperate piece of paper to represent the Magic Picture. Instant adventure!

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook I decided against it because it didn't have the strength I wanted, and Eric Shanower used the name for his comics collection.

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook Fun Fact: Heroes of Oz was originally slated to be titled "Adventures in Oz."

Heroes of Oz Roleplaying Game and Guidebook For those who looked at the old playtest, I'm switching the die system to traditional Fudge, but I'll likely offer the 2d6 one as an option.
