Hey!
so there are four things i wanna let everybody in on .. here we go..
1. First off, we have a brand new video for "A Song About California." we're all really excited about it and it can be seen on facebook, youtube, myspace, and of course at www.heyocean.com The video was directed by John JP Poliquin and produced by The Studio (www.thisisthestudio.com).. let us know what you think!
2. We'll be heading down to Austin, Texas this March to perform as part of the SXSW music conference. We're really excited to be down there and if you're looking to come to one of those shows you're gonna need to get a festival wristband, which will give you access to shows throughout the week as part of the festival. Info on those dates will be listed on www.heyocean.com or www.myspace.com/heyocean

3. At the end of March Vancouver will be hosting this year's Juno Awards and the apply named Junofest that goes along with it. Hey Ocean! will be playing a special show as part of the festivities with our old friends Current Swell and the amazing Zaki Ibrahim at the Media Club (where we played our first show ever four years ago) so stay tuned for details on how to get tickets cause they'll be limited.
4. Last but definitely not least we're going to be back on the road this April playing shows across Canada from Nanaimo, BC to Halifax, NS and plenty of spots in between. For the whole tour we'll be joined by Spiral Beach ...one of the best (and craziest) young Canadian bands we've seen in our travels (www.myspace.com/spiralbeach).
before and after the tour we'll be hitting up a few spots in the western U.S. so make sure you pass on word to everyone you know down there!

Hey Family,
We just wanted to write a quick note to update everybody on the world of Hey Ocean, and what's coming up over the next few months!!!
We've been crazy busy getting ready for the fall, and we hope everybody who's back in school is enjoying the crazyness!
here we go:
1. We're starting our Canadian National Tour this week - playing shows all across the country - some of which are with our boy SHAD!! Click below to find out more.

2. The New CD will finally make it's way to iTunes and in a store near you on Tuesday, Sept 16th. We're so sorry for the delay, but promise that is is worth the wait to those who have waited! Let us know what you think :)
3. We will be playing with Bedouin Soundclash in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary this October. Respect and Excite!
4. To all our American friends and family, we'll be heading down the California coast in November - more details to come along shortly!

5. New Merch and CDs will soon be available online - stay tuned for news on that front. But as always, the best way to catch us or some new swag is at one of our shows!
5. A new mini-documentary is currently being worked on by none other that the amazingly talented Benny Schuetze. We will post it to Facebook once it is completed. He also shot and directed a video for "alleyways" which can be viewed on our myspace.
