It’s a week for Hidden Shoal radio features! This time it’s Tarcutta’s turn as their incredible debut has scored Featured Release status on Brisbane’s fantastic 4ZZZ. Be sure to tune in to 4ZZZ all this week to catch tracks from this superb album.

The album is available on CD and digitally through Hidden Shoal Recordings. Brisbane fans can also get hold of the CD exclusively through Rocking Horse Records.

Sankt Otten’s stunning fourth album continues to wow folk before it’s official CD release tomorrow (22nd September, 2009). The latest nod to the album’s goodness comes from the ever wonderful Perth radio station RTRFM where Morgen wieder lustig is the “Out To Lunch” feature album all this week. Not only will listeners get to hear the album played all week across the station but they’ll also get a chance to win a copy every day on the “Out To Lunch” new music program from 12pm to 3pm Monday through to Friday.

Morgen wieder lustig will see it’s official CD release on the 22nd of September and is available in digital format now from all good online stores. In a new initiative for Hidden Shoal the album is also available in lossless formats (FLAC and Apple Lossless). Check the Hidden Shoal Store for all availability info.

Excerpt: “with only a handful of instruments at their disposal, the variation they achieve from song to song is impressive, to say the least. Over the course of eight tunes, this Aussie band continually applies an ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ approach in which guitars (Justin Buckley), keyboards (Justin Wheelahan), and drums (Peter Barrett) will sometimes explore upwards of a half dozen different ideas in just as many minutes… their attempts to explore so much terrain yield high dividends, as it frequently does whenever the melodic instruments weave a patchwork quilt of lustrous melodic fragments… There’s plenty of promise in these songs that hint at mightier things to come.”
