High Plains Food Bank On Aug. 22, 2009, Chick-Fil-A sponsored a nugget-eating contest for area charities. Teams that entered chose their favorite charity and the top 3 teams would receive a portion of the day's proceeds from Chick-Fil-A to the charity of choice. KFDA/NewsChannel10 chose the High Plains Food Bank and finished 2nd in the contest!

The theatre company Merely Players present "Above the Sun" on August 21,23,28,29 and 30. The show is an original production by one of the cast members based on readings from the Old Testament. Merely Players will also donate 10 percent of the show's ticket sales to the High Plains Food Bank...

Chick-Fil-A will be holding a nugget-eating contest this Saturday, Aug. 22 to benefit charities across the area. Hal Leedy, owner of Chick-Fil-A on 4510 S Coulter Street will donate 10 percent of the store's profits for the day of the competition as the prize. The competition runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m...
