During an intern's experience at Solo Cup, we'd like for them to be exposed to every part of our business. We understand that it isn't possible in one summer to touch all facets of our company but we want every intern to leave Solo Cup understanding a good presentation of the various functions within Solo and all of t...he opportunities available post graduation.
Every Friday, the company hosts a lunch and learn session with a presentation given by a professional from that particular area. There is a new opportunity each week to learn about a new aspect of our business.
This year's presentations included: Consumer Sales & Marketing, Sustainability, Foodservice Sales & marketing, Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Executive Leadership and then two other professional development presentations: New Graduates & Interviewing for Your First Opportunity and Building Your Professional Network & Entry Level Opportunitys Within Solo Cup.
These sessions are well attended by our interns and show a strong interest in their desire to grow both personally and professionally in order to strengthen the impact they will make in their roles this summer!
