Firstly, I must apologise for the lack of new content on the blog recently. A house move, combined with some seriously good weather has led to me neglecting it a bit of late...

I thought it was about time that I started archiving some of this blog properly, as the inbuilt system is pretty much useless. I've just collated all the interviews to date and all the mixes which have been featured on the site will follow shortly...

Just a quick heads up for you. Joker has kindly put one of his tracks up for free download. It can be downloaded from here: Joker 'Solid State' (Free Download) He has also mentioned that he may well have an album on the way...

We've just got our hands on these cheeky new t-shirts from Dirty Laundry, a clothing label set up by local Bristol artist Mick Hockney (aka the Jazz Doctor). The design seems very topical at the moment and is sure to raise a few wry smiles when being worn out and about...

Following on from the interview with DJ Stryda (Dubkasm) a few posts below, here is a video that was taken at the 'Transform-I' LP launch party at Teachings In Dub last weekend...

We've got a couple of tickets to give away for the massive Dissident night on the 2nd of May. The Dissident crew have been going from strength to strength over the last couple of years, continually filling any venue which they've managed to get their grubby little hands on...

We’ve teamed up with local roots reggae duo, Dubkasm, to produce these limited edition t-shirts. The t-shirts have been made to promote the release of their forthcoming album, ‘Transform I’, next week...

Many of you may not yet be aware, but this Saturday (18th April) is the second international Record Store Day, which celebrates the role that independent record stores play within musical communities...

Fabric have kindly offered up an unreleased Caspa track for free download ahead of the launch party for his debut album, 'Everybody's Talking, Nobody's Listening', next Friday. The track, 'Lion's Roar', can be downloaded using the link below...

For those with an interest in Bristol's Dubstep scene, the above video, 'Living Inside The Speaker', should provide captivating viewing. The film documents the scene in the city back in 2006 and was filmed by Mike 'Madboy' and his friend Mark...

We've just printed up 60 of these limited edition t-shirts designed by the inimitable Monsta. Monsta's work is instantly recognisable, having become synonymous with both the dubstep and drum and bass scenes (although his art is now being found increasingly further afield as well)...

Dubloaded returns to the Croft on Wednesday 8th of April, for what looks set to become a monthly fixture. Tubby from the Newham Generals heads a line-up that also includes Joker, Peverelist, Pokes and Bristol rootsman DJ Stryda...

I've had to repost a few blog entries, as for some reason they were not displaying properly in Internet Explorer (they were also stopping the page from loading at times). This means that the post dates for a few of the entries may now be a bit out of sync...

We've got a couple of tickets to give away for the second of Ruffnek Diskotek and Fire!!'s Monster Bass events at the Black Swan. The line up is frankly ridiculous and with the sound in the main room being provided by the Mungo's Hi-Fi 20k rig, the night is sure to live up to its name...

Up and coming Bristolian producer Hyetal has been kind enough to record an exclusive mix for us. Having recently appeared on Mary Anne Hobbs' Radio 1 show and with an ever increasing list of releases in the pipeline, it is certainly an exciting time for the producer...

Dizzee Rascal and the Newham Generals give an interview on Westwood's 1Xtra show ahead of the release of their debut album 'Generally Speaking' later this month. Freestyle:

This hour long piece of extroverted bass madness turned up in my inbox yesterday, courtesy of the good people over at Fabric. Star Eyes & The Captain, from New York’s Trouble & Bass crew, have put the mix together ahead of the crew's takeover of room three at Fabric Live on Friday (6th March)...

Over the course of the last thirty years, Bristol’s music scene has continually reinvented itself and the music which has found a home in the city...

We've just got these rather nice Trojan Sound System t-shirts in from the ethical folks over at THTC (The Hemp Trading Company)...

This video was recorded for Computer Music back in 2007 as part of their 'Producer Masterclass' series and has just found its way onto the internet today. EL-B (Ghost / El-Tuff / Groove Chronicles) explains how he goes about producing a track and reveals a few tricks of the trade in the process...

Bristol sees out January in fine style this weekend with two more nights of bass-heavy niceness. Teachings In Dub kicks things off on Friday by bringing the mighty Jah Shaka to town...

We've teamed up with the mighty Planet Mu to produce these limited edition collaboration t-shirts. They are available in white and slate grey and cost £15 each. The tees come in sizes S, M, L and XL...

Of late, Drum and Bass has received a lot of criticism from those outside of the scene for becoming increasingly stale and inward looking. Whilst this may be true for a large percentage of the genre's output it does not tell the full story...

If the festive period has left you feeling a bit worn out and in need of some serious relaxation then the mix below should be just the ticket - think of it as a belated Christmas gift...

A bit late on this due to a break for the festive season, but for those of you who haven't seen this already, here's a video of Wiley on Westwood's 1Xtra show proving that he can still do grime better than almost anyone...

January sales / credit crunch / yada yada yada... Essentially we've just knocked over 20% off the price of all our Highrise branded t-shirts, meaning that they can now be snapped up for only £15 each. If you've been thinking of grabbing one then now's the time! Check them out here..

Above are a few examples of the work of the mysterious Deadly Doppelganger. He was kind enough to do some T-Shirt designs for us earlier in the year, including the Babylon image pictured above...

As expected, Wedge's Christmas party last night was absolutely brilliant; in fact I'd go as far as to say it was the best house party I've ever been to on a Tuesday! The list of DJs was seemingly endless and the music was top notch all night...

We're now stocking some nice t-shirts from San Francisco based funk / soul / beats specialists, Ubiquity Records. Not only are they very reasonably priced at £15 each but the hang tags also include a code which can be used to download 5 free tracks from Ubiquity's impressive back catalogue...

One of Bristol's lesser known producers, there is a good chance that Guido may have slipped under your radar until now. For reasons that I can't go in to at the moment this situation is set to change very soon...

Whilst it is admittedly a bit short notice, I thought I'd post something up about a couple of nights that are happening in Bristol this Friday (12th Dec). The first, Who Feels It Knows It, is a one off reggae night that we are involved with putting on...
