Hillsborough County Emergency Management The EOC is at normal operations. We continue to monitor the weather for potential problems as Ida moves through the Gulf of Mexico. The National Weather Service Tampa Bay Forecast Office says we can expect increased winds and rain chances over the next few days as Ida moves through the Gulf and then merges with a cold front.

Flu continues to be widespread throughout Hillsborough County. Activity is moderate and continues to exceed what we would typically expect at the peak of the seasonal influenza season. Hospitalizations remain low and school absenteeism has remained fairly constant...

Hillsborough County Emergency Management The EOC continues to monitor TD Ida. As of the 4:00 p.m. advisory, the NHC track indicates Ida could be headed towards the Tampa Bay Area later next week. But there is still alot of uncertainty in the forcast track. While it is important to monitor any weather system in the Gulf of Mexico, it is still far too early to ...tell whether we will be affected by Ida. (Jay - Thank you for the typo catch).
