
Hillside House Lynne Cameron passed away this past Tuesday, October 20. Lynne's love of people and life itself was an inspiration during the 18 years she lived at Hillside House.

Hillside House We have started a Dinner for Four program on Friday nights. 4-8 residents each week get to have a fine-dining experience at home.

Hillside House Zoo to You visited Hillside House with a wonderful collection of wild animals, which they introduced to the residents. The desert fox was a hit.

Hillside House We re-opened our Aquatic Therapy pool on July 11, after over five years that it has been closed. Our residents are thrilled to be back in the pool. Thanks to the 30 donors, the Outhwaite Charitable Trust and the Assistance League of Santa Barbara for making this possible.

Hillside House Three residents just returned from a wonderful trip to San Diego where they went to Sea World, the aquarium (got to touch some fish--a big hit!), watched fireworks and went to a baseball game. Lots of fun.

Over the past few years, MIT engineers have successfully tested robotic devices to help stroke patients learn to control their arms and legs. Now, they're building on that work to help children with cerebral palsy.

Hillside House Our Women of Purpose fundraising luncheon was a big success! We're still totalling all the numbers, but it looks like it may be our best event ever in terms of dollars raised for the residents of Hillside House. The weather was perfect. To see a slide show of the event:
