Gail

Gail How very true! Places worth remembering are slipping away.

www.nytimes.com
“Nostalgia” is literally a longing for the places of one’s past. And lately, it has become harder and harder to find things to miss about America’s places.

I heard about this on a Knox County radio station. Sorry to see that Knox County is not listed. Are there plans to have a contest in this region? Tommy are you reading this?

In addition to the info HLFI has made available, here's a link to a good page on the National Trust web page about weatherizing windows in historic houses: http://www.preservationnation.org/issues/weatherization/windows/

This is a great link. Near the bottom "window" page there is another link to make interior storm windows. Very simple instructions. Very practical. It also comes with a shopping list for the materials. This was extremely helpful for me. Thank you.

Doc Keys and his wife are two faced liars. Richmond city administration only gives lip service to historic preservation. The Enterprise Association has been the worst stumbling block in the development of this landmark. It is shameful.

Robert Bluman

Robert Bluman Hi! I live in Los Angeles, CA. with my partner and we own an 1888, 2 story brick Victorian in North Manchester, Indiana. We are proud members of Historical Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, and welcome others from Indiana as well as from out-of-town to make our acquaintance and friendship! We do get to our beloved hous...e often and look forward to making new friends who also share the love and excitement of living in, planning to own some day, or presently owning a historical home and all the understanding of it's own history and all the fun restoration and antiquing to get it to where one wishes it to be. You can write to me directly at GR8GUYLA@aol.com . I welcome your e-mails and messages.

Thanks. Robert Bluman, Los Angeles, CA./ North Manchester, Indiana 46962

For a shopping trip where the destination is as fun as the merchandise, consider visiting toys stores in historic buildings—like Veach'sin Richmond.
