Hoarsebox

We are four guys from varying backgrounds (Peruvian / Indonesian amongst us), and are essentially Dublin guys with an international outlook. Hoarsebox was founded in 2006 and they combine artful instrumentation with four-part vocal harmonies and insatiably upbeat melodies.

After numerous Irish tours and some great festival dates played in summer 2008, support tours with The Stranglers and The Little Ones, we were asked to play a week-long run at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival in August 08 before a US tour which brought them to established NYC venues such as Mercury Lounge, Arlene’s Grocery and Pianos.

Since those dates, the US media has sat up and taken notice and so we returned to the US in April 2009 to play some key dates including NYC and Los Angeles.

We were recently broadcast from Ireland to over 30 US and Canadian radio stations in a syndicated feature which had a huge impact on their international fan-base and demand from numerous US and European venues and promoters.

We plan to record an album in Summer 2009.
