Bed Race
Rules & Guidelines
• Teams should consist of 5 people and no more
• Teams are encouraged to dress in a theme or in support of their organization or
business. Example: A Caesar bed with a toga sporting bed rider in it, a harley bed
with handlebars and a seat, a palm t...ree bed with a hammock. Goofy Thoughts!
• Each team provides their own bed
• Beds must include a bed frame on caster wheels, a mattress and box spring, NO
shopping carts, wagons, etc.
• Beds must be less than 6ft wide, less than 20ft in length, and no more than 7ft
from the ground
• All beds must be human propelled, NO engines or external energy sources
allowed
Judging
•An Award will be given to the fastest bed
• There will also be an award for the most creative bed/team
Volunteers
• If you do not wish to participate in the event, but would like to donate some time in
making it happen, please contact: Brant @ 616.566.2572 to sign up or for more
information on the race and the festival.

CAD is sponsoring the 3rd annual Columbia Art Festival (CADfest) on Saturday, September 19, 2009 beginning at 3:30 pm and going until midnight. This ultimate-neighborhood-block-party-meets-
Enjoy the creative atmosphere as CADfest showcases and supports artists in the community, with live musical performances and art displays. This festival is packed with excitement and entertainment throughout the evening, with events including an art-flared graffiti wall, beer & wine garden, delicious food, and the infamous Bed Race. The Gala Benefit Fashion Show will lead into the night with Michigan-based celebrity and upcoming designers, followed by a VIP After Party.
The Gala Benefit Fashion Show features an exquisitely transformed art gallery, red carpet walk, pre-show mixer, live musical performances, and VIP After Party. From it's sophisticated audience to the classy and cultural artistic feel, the show is sure to create a buzz in West Michigan. Returning this year are celebrity designers, Cynthia LaMaide and Kelly Oday, who have worked and traveled with celebrities like Lenny Kravitz and Kid Rock, among other Michigan-based upcoming designers. At the VIP After Party, guests will get to mingle with models and designers.
Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration, so don’t miss CADfest 2009!
