PAWS/LA PAWS/LA is pleased to invite film submissions from animal-friendly filmmaker's for its 1st Annual "ReelDog Film Fest"!

ReelDog Film Fest seeks creative short films, 10 minutes or less with a focus on dogs and or relationships between people and canines in the following 7 categories:

Animation, Comedy, Dogumentary, Drama,..., Dog Noir, Music Video, Webisode/Cell phone film

The Grand Prize winner will receive the coveted PAW d'Or Award (Golden Paw) and prize valued at $250. Winners in all other categories will receive Award Recognition and a Plaque.

The winners’ films will premier at the ReelDog Film Fest event scheduled for September 12, 2009 in Long Beach, California.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

• The competition is open to all new and established filmmakers
• To qualify, the film’s subject and/or focus must be on dogs and or human and canine relationships
• All submitted films must be between 1 and 10 minutes in length
• Each entrant may submit up to 4 films – each must be submitted separately
• Films must have been created after January 2006
• Films must be in DVD format
• Films may be in either black & white or color
• Once submitted, DVD’s become property of PAWS/LA and will not be returned
• Filmmaker must guarantee that no animals were harmed during the filmmaking process.
