Home for Home Program is wishing the world a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. For those that have a roof over your head, be thankful. For those that don't, we hope to see some of you in 2010.

Home for Home Program Our next trip is set for January 7-10. The team is still being assembled. If you have a passport, and want to join us, you're very welcome. Our current team is large enough to complete the work planned, but there is always room for more people that want to see people's lives change right before their eyes, as well as their own.

Home for Home Program Just when we thought we were getting caught up, Pillar Development went and signed two more contracts for new homes in Ellensburg. It's harder than we thought to keep up with God.

Home for Home Program Here is two thirds of the floor for the new house/store. The house will sit on the floor in the picture, and the store will sit on the floor to be poured tomorrow. The building will be one continuous building with a wall between the house and the store.

Home for Home Program is feverishly working on the plans for the new project with Baja Christian Ministries. It looks like we will be building an extra large house and making the last portion of the house into the new store. This will obtain the same amount of square footage needed, and be a better use of materials, property, and space. ...Thanks, Hector, for forging the way for us. You make our job so much easier.

Home for Home Program is getting stoked. Baja Christian Ministries poured the concrete slab today for the new store we will build next month.

Home for Home Program wants to take a second to say thanks to everyone that has responded to the "Call to Arms." Your support and enthusiasm helps fuel our fire and we greatly appreciate you.

Home for Home Program realizes not everyone reads their updates (I'm guilty too). So I posted the latest update in a note below. Please take a few minutes to check it out. Thanks!!

At the tail end of our Home for Home Program Thanksgiving trip, we were hanging out at a small orphanage and doing some street ministry, when a neighbor approached us and asked us to pray for her niece and sister. They had just lost their home and small candy store to a fire...

Home for Home Program will soon make its call to arms for the next trip. It's going to be a wild one (what am I talking about? They all are!). The pictures below show a burned out home and store in Tijuana, Mex. That will be the location of our next build. That will also be the location where God mends the hearts of a devastated family ...and restores a sense of security for those that lost not only their home, but their livelihood.

Home for Home Program These images were taken on the Thanksgiving trip after hearing about a family's tragic situation in which their home and their little store burned to the ground. My heart broke as I stepped out of the truck and witnessed the mess. The pictures don't even come close to instilling the amount of emotion felt while exper...iencing it in person. It became clear in a short time that this would be the location of our next build.
