Observer & Eccentric and Hometown readers now have a chance to win great tickets to some of the biggest concerts of the summer including Beyonce, Dave Matthews Band, Randy Travis, American Idols Live and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Anyone who signs up for our new E-Newsletter will be entered into a random drawing for two tickets to one of the concerts. Drawings will take place a week before each show. Beyonce’s I Am Tour will hits The Palace of Auburn Hills July 18 so hurry and sign up for a chance to win a pair of tickets and hear one of the biggest stars in music belt out her hits like Single Ladies and Halo.

Readers who sign up could also a pass for two (any day) to Emagine Theatres in Novi or Canton, and a free Buddy’s small pizza.

The free service recently debuted and hundreds of newsletters are already going out to subscribers. The newsletters basically give you the news of the day in an easy-to-read format. Simon signed up and won and so could you.

The first thing you have to do is become a member of our Web site by going to Hometown-life.com and clicking on the link Become a member, which is just above the main carousel of stories. Once you are a member, click on the E-newsletters tab at the top left of the homepage to sign up.

E-newsletters for all Observer & Eccentric and Hometown publications are available as well as special editions for entertainment and local business news.

E-newsletter subscriber contact information will be kept private so there is no need to worry that signing up will lead to a barrage of third-party sales calls. The Observer Newspaper editions – Livonia, Farmington, Plymouth, Canton, Redford, Westland and Garden City - offer E-newsletters on Thursday and Sunday. The Hometown Newspapers – Northville Record, Novi News, South Lyon Herald and Milford Times – offer E-newsletters on Thursday and the Birmingham and South Oakland Eccentric newspapers will offer them on Sunday. The local Business and local entertainment newsletters come out once a week.
