Is life confusing, or what? One minute I'm with my mom and my brothers and sisters, and the next I'm all by myself in a strange-smelling, dark, moving nest. The box stops moving. Now I'm put in a different kind of nest, much smaller than the one I was born in. ...

You need to be careful of urine scald. Keep an eye on the skin and make sure it is not becoming red and irritated. You need to litter train your bunny. Most take to it naturally.

To answer your question try rubbing some baking soda watered down in a bowl of warm water & then thoroughly rinsing the feet and drying.
Everyone attacked Lucinda but didn't answer her question!!!!!
Some bunnies we've owned CANNOT be littered trained and let's face it their are 'dumb' bunnies that get urine on them anyway.......you just don't want them wading in it folks.

Lauren Does anyone have any tips or secrets to getting a harness and leash on a bun? I bought BunBun the cutest little pink bunny harness and leash for Christmas... when I try to put it on, she hisses, growls, and runs away. She also threw her food dish at me. I have an amazing backyard full of bunny yummies and herbs...The f...irst time I got her on the leash with no problem.... she loved being outside and fought me when it was time to come in. She just doesn't like the harness.

I got my dad to hold her while I put the leash on her. We had a fabulous time outside (almost an hour) - she picked some mint out of my herb garden and munched on some dandelion weeds that I've been meaning to pull out of another garden. That twitchy nose was in overdrive as she strutted her stuff for the kids next door (on the other side of the ... See Morefence). She was extremely resistant about coming inside (couldn't guide her in on the leash and I got clawed pretty good trying to carry her in) and taking off the harness was a bit bloody (on my end). She doesn't like that either. But she seemed to LOVE being outside and even forgot about the harness and leash!

Merlin loves his harness/leash cuz he knows he gets to go outside every time we put it on, but we got him used to it as a kit. Just try to associate it with something pleasant while you're putting it on him (like giving him a snack while you do it), and maybe he'll take to it pretty quickly. Above all, though, just have patience, and don't get too disappointed if he never gets used to it.

Suzanne

Suzanne Hello all! I just had a question, and was wondering if someone had any advice? I have two 5 month old buns, male and female. The male is neutered, and the female will be spayed shortly. They were both very well litter pan trained. Recently, though, the female has stopped using the pans, and and doesn't seem to want to ...use them. She digs through the litter and moves the pan around. Any suggestions as to how to get her to start using it again? I don't want to confine her to the cage, but I'm worried her urine will ruin the hardwood floors in my apartment.

Suzanne,
Spaying can make a huge difference. That being said, you will need to give her time. That might mean caging them for a while.

She's in her cage because she kept trying to open all of the presents and I was worried about her trying to eat the tree. She got to open her presents in my bedroom outside of her cage (she also got a new pink harness, some plastic keys, and a grapevine ball with peanuts inside).
