Margaret Lena McMahan I need an easy way to clean and refinish hardwood (oak) floors. They have never had anything done other than hand paste waxing and buffing. However, this had not been done is several years, so the floors are dull and scratched.

Tony Tiemann I have a question about leveling a drywall ceiling - I am in the process of hanging new kitchen cabinets, when I realized the ceiling is not level, and will make it impossible to make the crown molding mate to the ceiling. I have about a 1'' drop in 8' n/s, and 3/4" to 1" drop in 10' w/e. Any suggestions on how to be...st go about resolving this issue?

I recently installed new kitchen cabinets and decided to not take them all the way to the ceiling. I left about 14" between the ceiling and cabinet top and trimmed out the cabinet top with crown moulding. Now I have a place to display my antique bottle collection. Less top cabinet space but that top shelf is hard to reach anyway.
