Houston Children's Festival Don't miss the Child Advocates, Inc. FORGOTTEN CHILDREN exhibit, october 21 - 28 at Discovery Green downtown (in front of George R. Brown). This powerful exhibit features 850 life-sized cut-outs of children, representing the 850 children who enter foster care system each day in the U.S. In Houston alone, nearly 2,000... children are removed from their homes last year and 4,300 are in foster care. The exhibit is also a fundraiser for Child Advocates. For more information on how you can sponsor a child, visit www.childadvocates.org.
