Don Clarke Having just listened to the broadcast of last year's "Chorus", I have concluded that there can be no better opera chorus or orchestra than HGO's. It makes me proud to live in Houston. I feel sorry for anyone who didn't see it last season.

This year's performance will be directed by Sam Helfrich, fresh from critical success with his production of The Consul for Glimmerglass Opera. The New York Times said "I can't imagine a better production than Mr Helfrich's".
