Houston Counts Census 2010 Number two on TOP 10: Improve education in our community – Census data’s used to identifying communities that need more schools, services such as the after school programs for children of single-parent families, free lunch programs, and more. The only way these communities can receive these programs is by getting an accurate count in the Census.

Better allocation of social services in the community – Census data’s used to decide where and how to spend nearly $400 billion every year on health, education, transportation, and more in our communities. Being counted could make the difference between getting or losing a school, health clinic, senior center, or other critical services.
Houston Counts Census 2010 Number four on TOP 10: Census form is now shorter - only 10 questions and available in six languages: English, Spanish, Chinese (simplified), Korean, Russian and Vietnamese.
