Maria Ines Sicardi will conduct back-to-back tours of two exhibitions, Joaquín Torres-García: Constructing Abstraction with Wood at the Menil Collection and "Joaquín Torres-García: Houston Collections” at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Born and educated in Buenos Aires, Sicardi moved to Houston in 1989.
Her Sicardi... Gallery, founded in 1994, has organized over a hundred exhibitions by artists from South America and Mexico. Admission to both museum tours is free.
The Menil tour will be at 5:30 pm followed by the MFAH tour at 7 pm.
