Michael conducted this research at Keio University under the advisement of Prof. Kohei Itoh as a participant in the 2009 NanoJapan program which is sponsored by an NSF-PIRE grant (OISE-0530220).

The James A. Baker III Institute Student Forum will host "Sustainable Development Innovations: Japan's Effort to unite against climate change", November 19, 12:00-1:00pm, at Farnsworth Pavilion, Ley Student Center, Rice University.

Associate Professor in Sustainability Science at the University of Tokyo, Masaru Yarime w...ill discuss environmental sustainability during this lunchtime lecture.

Come eat, listen, and learn how Japan's researchers, corporations and industries are working together to create a united front to overcome the environmental challenges of the 21st century.
