WELCOME TO UST MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Congratulations on beginning the important journey of finding the right college for you! We are pleased that UST is among the prospective colleges and universities you have chosen to include in your search.

We understand that the application and admissions process can be confusing. That is why we have designed this page to outline the University's first-time freshmen application process including required materials and also to answer any questions you may have about the admissions process.

A freshman admissions counselor has been assigned to your high school to assist you during this process. You may contact your counselor with any questions or concerns regarding academic programs, the application and admissions process, scholarships and financial aid, university housing and more.

To find out who is assigned to your school, please contact our Office of Admissions at 713/525-3500 or admissions@stthom.edu.

Our admissions staff looks forward to working with you in the near future!

Lee Holm

Hello, my name is Lee Holm, and I am the Director of Admissions here at the University of St. Thomas. I am considered a jack-of-all-trades around the office, but I mostly look forward to helping adult and transfer students plan their degrees. At times the admissions and financial aid processes can seem taxing. My job is to help you understand and complete the processes. After all, mastering the class material should be the challenging part!

I truly enjoy working for my alma mater and I look forward to helping you complete the next stage in your academic life.

My name is Gerald Warren, and I am a proud graduate of the University of St. Thomas. I highly recommend UST to those who seek a quality liberal arts education. The type of education that most universities offer only to their honor students, we offer to all of our students.

The University of St. Thomas, an intimate campus community nestled in the Museum District and just minutes from the Medical Center and downtown Houston, offers our undergraduates that "home away from home" feeling.

I look forward to showing you around our campus.

Arthur Ortiz

The University of St. Thomas is a great institution committed to providing a complete educational experience for its students. UST embraces the type of classical education I believe in. I strongly believe UST's challenging academics and commitment to the core curriculum embraces the notion of what it means to be an educated college graduate. I also work with home schoolers and their parents by assisting them through the admissions process. Contact me to schedule a visit to our campus.

Shannon Wilson

My name is Shannon Wilson, and I spent four years in the Air Force and received the Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor.

I have always had a great passion for the military and higher education. I feel fortunate to have found a career that allows me to combine the two most important things to me.

At St. Thomas, I am responsible for increasing the student enrollment of veterans and their family members and graduate students through focused recruitment and a vigorous student support program.

Where else but family can you discover who you are, what you share in common and appreciate the differences...so...come shine!

UST is truly a great place and I look forward to helping you determine if it's the best fit for you! If you have any questions or would like to schedule a campus visit, please contact me.
